The Hilo High School Foundation was established in 1990 with the purpose of creating and maintaining an endowment to support educational programs and activities at Hilo High School above and beyond those funded by the State of Hawaii.

  • 2024 Jennifer Doudna Scholarship

    The 2024 Hilo High School Foundation Jennifer Doudna Scholarship was awarded to Bransen Hatakenaka.  Bransen is currently attending the University of Southern California to pursue a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. 

  • Student Benches Project

    Brand new benches were installed in common hangout areas at Hilo High School. 

  • Taiko Drums

    Taiko drums were purchased for Hilo High School’s Japan Club and are used for various performances  at school events and throughout the community. 

  • Robotics Competition

    The Hilo High School Foundation paid for entry fees and parts so the Robotics Club could participate in a Robotics Tournament.
